The intensive technological development in the last 3 decades has resulted in significant changes in the automotive industry. Procedures were refined and automated to the tiniest details in order to maximize the efficiency of manufacturing. The end user benefits from the positive aspects, since as a result of this evolution a multitude of trim levels became available throughout all categories of cars. In the 80’s climate controls or power windows were the privilege of high end models – nowadays these come equipped in any base model city cruiser. The times when the different trim levels were marked by two or three letters are long gone – CL, GL or GTI meant the same for everyone. These names even symbolized belonging to different social classes. Having a vehicle INDIVIDUALIZED by a famous tuning company was a privilege of oil sheiks, professional athletes and tycoons in those days.

Parallel with the above-mentioned tendency the education - especially vocational training - became more and more sophisticated with time. New professions arose so that the accumulated body of knowledge and experience could be of service to the economy in a concentrated and structured manner. With the internet becoming widely used, the exchange of information experienced an exponential growth. As a result, any subject can be research in the blink of an eye, and we can further educate ourselves in an autodidactic way – it is no wonder that the number of companies working in the automotive industry increased significantly in the last decade. Only those can be viable in the long run in this diverse crowd, who have their resources service a special area of the industry in an ambitious and focused manner, and who at the same time are open to new impulses.
